These Sheets Were Made For Hanging

"These sheets were made for hanging...
And that's just what I'll do...;)
Maybe one of these days these sheets can hang all around you... Doodoodoodoo!"

That is me singing...Quite lovely, I know...

Why hasn't Hollywood discovered me, yet? Such talent, right? lol ;) What a waste!
I can sing and obviously, I can write beautiful music...Simon {Simy} I am waiting to be discovered...I lay around all dolled up, waiting for the call...

I actually suck at singing, but I do it anyway...Quite annoying, I know...And as for the dolled up part...Well, I'll pretend I am...You can do that in Blogland...Wouldn't it be fun to be able to see what people look like when they blog...I think that would be comical...Wouldn't you love to see what your favorite bloggers look like blogging?

Earth to Meme...Earth to Meme...Focus Meme...;)

Okay, I am focused and ready to reveal the sheets I hung as curtains....They are cheap sheets I bought at Walmart...I bought the king sized sheets for the big window and the twin sized sheets for the adjacent window...The king sized sheets are $20.00 for each set {It only comes in sets} and the twin sized sheets are $14.00 for each set...

* Tip~If you don't have a king bed...Go with the size of beds that you have, so you can use the fitted sheet...Or you could make pillows out of the fabric...

You can use rings or slide it through the top...The top has a solid goldish tan band {I hid mine, by flipping it over and clipping it}...If you don't like the band...Sew across it and make a new pocket...Or iron on adhesive tape...

Here is the detail of the sheets..I love the colors in the stripes...Creams, soft
tan, golden yellow, red and brown...I think it looks rustic...

Here is my rustic farm table close up...Her name is Daisy, I found Daisy, while working on a model home...I fell in love with her reclaimed table top and distressed chairs...I am taking her two chairs away {and putting them on each side of a sideboard...I will be purchasing}...

I will be adding the two {free} chairs from my Saloon Game room...I am slip covering them with an old drop cloth and monogramming the backs of them {I upholstered the chairs in the Saloon with drop cloth, too...}

* Tip~ Drop cloths are another cheap fabric you can use as curtains...Or any other project you need a lot of fabric for...Like slip covers and upholstery...

Here is a picture of my Saloon...Those are the chairs I will be slip covering....

Back to Daisy's reclaimed, rustic table top...Isn't she beautiful?
All distressed and worn out...I love her the most, because my kids can be kids and enjoy eating, art projects, science projects, and I can't forget the most important activity....video gaming {yes, they have friends over and they all bring a TV and set up on Ole' Daisy Girl...So fun!} All without worrying about her getting damaged...That is the beauty of distressed and vintage pieces...They allow you to live and enjoy life more...and look beautiful while doing it ;)....

She is the place where I learned how to slipcover for the first time...Where my sister and I, and our families all gather around for our annual Gag Gift Party...Where my family gathers each holiday to celebrate, she is the table that Mr. Screaming Meme chases me around to try and catch me...With each new ding and scratch she becomes even more special to me...Do you have a "special" piece of furniture that holds memories? Do you name your special furniture? ;)

Here is Daisy's base...It is carved out sunflowers... Don't let her know though...I don't want her to be confused...;)

I wanted to share Emmers basking in the sun this morning...So peaceful...
Look at how the sun beams off of her beautiful coat...and how the sun picks up on her curly eyebrow whiskers...Awwww!

Have you ever seen curly eyebrow whiskers? I love them! Because they make her even more unique and special because of them...Life is beautiful when you look around...Even sweet little doggy eyebrows ;)

XoXo, Screaming Meme

What a great reveal... music and all! These sheets look wonderful. No one would ever know! This is a very clever idea. I think what makes it so curtain-believable is the great pattern.I am re-doing my daughters bedroom and I am looking for very "natural" colored curtains. There are 3 windows in her room and I need 6 panels. This was looking like quite an expense. Well, now I am on the lookout for sheets! Thanks for the inspiration.

I had to smile at the comment about "what bloggers look like blogging". Wow am I glad that we aren't forced to expose that!
I love the curtains! I have dropcloths in my family room and they were so, super cheap. Can't beat cheap!

You don't want to see me blogging or any of the other things I do on the computer. Scary!
Love the curtains! I would never think of using drop cloths for upholstery...but now that I think of it, I think it's a great idea.
So much fun that you named your table. This is my first visit to your blog so maybe I'll find other furniture that you've named as I browse through.
Thanks for visiting me and for leaving the comment about my craft project with the hearts.
    I'll be back...take care. ♥

I love your sheet curtains! That looks great! And yes, I do love rustic and worn pieces, too. We have five kids, so nothing can be too precious in this house. :)
No, I don't name my furniture. He he. We did just install new flooring, though, and I decided that my floor is a girl. :)
Hope you have great day! Beth.

And I promise you wouldn't want to see what I look like blogging - it might scare you ;)

And I love both Daisy and your dog. I have one piece of furniture that is named - an antique secretary desk called "Francesca." What's weird is that my husband and daughter actually call her that too!

Meme, the curtains are great! I have been a secret sheet curtain maker for decades, usually with iron-on tape, as I moved very often. Now I stay put in a place that doesn't want curtains yet. Not enough windows and no privacy issues. I also love your dear table. I never named my furniture, but I had a VW camper named Vinnie Van-Go! You-go! Sherry

Did you know your eyes are the same color as your pillow? Gorgeous green! My husband has green eyes and I buy him nothing but green shirts because they make his eyes sooooo pretty! : )

Love those sheet curtains! I used a drop cloth to make a bedskirt and LOVE. IT. I'll be using the remnant to make curtains. One of these days.

And oh, the peace on a Golden's face while resting. Mine has a little more red in his fur, but he looks so much like yours! Jonathan has those curly eyebrow whiskers, too, and I love them! : )

Sheets are such a great way to get tons of fabric for a small price! Love your table, even wtih the floral identity crisis. LOL! Nothing gets my attention better than a great dog photo. Emmers is adorable. Our lab was named Sunny by my daughter because of the way he looked in the sunshine. Glad you stopped by.

Hello! Wow those sheets look amazing. They even look like they have some weight to them.... like they are lined. Great job. I can't wait to see the slipcovered chairs! I have slipcovered before and I know that amount of work involved. You are so talented you will probably whip them out in day! Can't wait to see the use of drop cloths. I love that!
