Pick me! Pick me! : )

My husband surprised me on our 10th anniversary by giving me a ring. I had no idea he was doing it, and it was (and still is) gorgeous. It's not a gigantic diamond or anything (not that I'd wear anything like that anyway...just not a flashy diamond kind of girl) but it fits me perfectly.

Oh, and I just started following you! (again!) : )

Oops, sorry Meme! Well, my gift that filled my heart full was two bookcases my hubby made for me one Christmas. He put so much time and care into making them, even though he always complained that I had a book in my hand. It was also one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received.

A gift that warmed my heart? This is easy. My son, Ryan, was with friends when he saw a shop owner throwing out a standing display rack that they no longer needed. As soon as he saw it, he asked the man if he could have it and he carried it all the way home for me (for my home- based business). He knew that I would love it and I did.

Please enter my name in your giveaway -- that's so nice of you!

Thanks, Joanne @ glamourgirljoanne@yahoo.com

One of the gifts that warmed my heart would have to be my sweet sixteen ring my mom gave me. It is a beautiful little gold aquamarine ring (my birthstone). I felt like a princess getting that ring! I will always treasure this, since she is no longer with us, but I have great memories. Thank you again, Meme, for stopping by my blog.

I think I am going to use your great idea. I will be back to visit again.

oooh i picked it up at the checkout line the other day and wanted to get it. what a nice giveaway!

Lou Cinda @ Tattered Hydrangeas said...

Okay, let's see...my favorite gift...it would have to be the gifts of my children and my husband. My children are the greatest thing I have ever received, and my husband as well. Though I have only had the husband for 5 years, he has been a constant blessing and gift to my children and I. He gives of his time, his talents, he can do or fix ANYTHING! It is nothing unusual for one of my boys to come in and tell him their car is making a "funny" noise or something like that and he is on it! They are not his biological children, but he is the only "father" they have, and we all love him! Definitely, the greatest gift!

Have a great weekend!

Lou Cinda

Just a little something from Judy said...

Since I'd love to be part of your giveaway and my memory is not that great...I am back to give you the answer to your question. What gift did I receive that warmed my heart? Many years ago, before my grandma was confined to her bed, she and I went to an auction of her good friend's farm. She took me aside and asked me to choose whatever I wanted and she would get it for me. I chose an old pink Fiestaware pitcher that has sat above my kitchen cupboards ever since I received it. She is in heaven now, but I still have that rare, sweet gift that she got me.

I subscribe to your feed. The best gift I ever got was my son. He came later in life and that made him all the more precious.

One of the most heartwarming gifts I received was a
Dove Christmas ornament from a dear friend this past Christmas. My father passed away in December and I was sharing with her how cool I thought it was that the hospital placed a dove on the door of the room a person passed away in. As a tribute to my father and to our friendship, my dear sweet friend presented me with a beautiful sparkly dove to put on our tree each year

Looks like an awesome mag! The sweetest gift this year, was my husband cleaning the house so it was spotless and then lighting candles all over so that the house was welcoming when I returned from a trip. He loves to make the home a place I want to return to, on the rare occasion that I do get away! ♥ him!

well now..that is simple. I have one question...are you excluding Canadians like so many bloggers do when they do a give-away? I am a canadian...and I don't exclude my friends ever...but thought I best ask...
I am a follower...and I huge fan...
Many of my blogging friends know that I have had a lot of personal trauma this last couple of years and they are so thoughtful to send little gifts and cards. My most favorite things are those that touch my heart...such as the gifts that were created just for me by them...they even included the tootsie time name on many of them!
you have a wonderful week-end miss meme!

Hi. Thanks for dropping by my blog. It was my birthday last week and I got a GC to a local gardening center. I went this morning and spent all of my money on dahlia tubers. It's getting almost warm enough to plant up here in Canada. Anyways, THAT was a great gift. I'd love to give that magazine a try.

Ohhh I WANT {would like} that magazine! Pretty Please!!!!

My husband did two things that filled my heart with love, joy & so much excitement...

1.) Purchased a picnic basket... Filled it with yummy gourmet food & wine then surprised me with a long drive to the countryside for a romantic picnic on a blanket... Just the two of us.

&

2.) He surprised me & took me to Mexico then walked me into a Spa/Resort that I had been wanting to go to for months {he listened to me} & said I could have any & as many treatments that I wanted... For my Birthday! I had NO clue! AMAZING!

I can't pick... He's the most wonderful husband ever. He surprises me all the time. I have many more cute stories to tell...

Hi, I'm Terri Smith, from Dimples & Dragonflies. Wanted to pop over to say thank you for visiting yesterday. It's such a pleasure when new folks show up unexpectedly.

I'm lovin' your site, and will happily become a Follower (i.e.Stalker..ha ha). I've been browsing a bit this a.m., and one of the most exciting things for me on your site, were those lovely curtains you made out of sheets!

I've seen another creative friend from "Flea Market Trixie" do the same thing! Both of your ideas were simply awesome!

It's been a joy visiting you and having you drop by as well. My studio door is always open..so you're welcomed anytime!

Blessings, joy and sunshine, Terri

The one surprise-gift that filled my heart most recently..was when I received a dozen red roses last year from my First-Cousin on my birthday.

Although we had spent the first ten years of our lives together,we were always shy when expressing our love for one another..(an unexplanable, mixed-up family trait), and on the card that day, she wrote that she hoped somehow that this made up for all the years she'd missed. I cried that afternoon. I cry still when thinking of it.

the best gift i ever received was the day my godmother died, no one knew, because it had happened suddenly (she was 48) and i was a mess. i was trying to pack to get a flight to philly and wasnt doing well. my husband had to work (he had no vacation time). then i hear a knock at the door. it was one of my best friends who just 'felt' that she needed to visit me. she was almosst home (40 mins away from my home) and she turned around and visited.
she had no idea why she needed to visit, but there she was.
her gift of her time when i needed someone was the bestest gift ever.
